Developing Industry Standards

Vanguard also plays a leading role in developing industry standards. We work with the Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum (ECTF), facilitating CTI interoperability, and contributed to the VPIM (Voice Profile for Internet Messaging) workgroup of the Electronic Messaging Association, which is developing an inter-vendor networking standard..

We are CTI Division board members of the Multi-Media Telecommunications Association (MMTA).Vanguard also coordinates the Multi-Messaging Educational Committee(MMEC), an international group of messaging suppliers dedicated to helping businesses implement messaging systems in ways that meet the needs of callers and users.

Our consultants are called on by the media for insights into the communications industry, and we produce articles for management, communications, voice processing and general business publications.

Vanguard participates in numerous conferences, seminars and user groups, developing seminars for Incoming Calls Management Institute (ICMI) and Frost & Sullivan, among others. Through our partnership with ICMI, we are currently presenting a new course for IT professionals and Call Center managers: "Understanding and Applying Today's Call Center Technologies."
